Tom DeLattre is a partner at Wieland & DeLattre, P.A., where he has dedicated his legal career to helping people and families navigate the challenges that follow serious accidents and injuries. Tom joined the firm in 1994 after being employed as an insurance adjuster for several years with a large insurance company handling a variety of injury claims and wrongful death claims. After working for the firm for several years as a paralegal, Tom made the decision to attend law school. From there, Tom built a law practice focused primarily on representing clients injured in trucking, motor vehicle, and motorcycle accidents as well as wrongful death. He also has extensive experience handling cases involving negligent road design and construction, premises liability, defective products, and workplace injuries.
Tom brings a combination of experience, determination, and personal attention to every case he handles. He understands that for clients and their families, an injury can affect far more than the immediate physical harm—it can impact their work, finances, relationships, and future. His approach is centered on listening to his clients, understanding what they are going through, and working tirelessly to pursue the best possible outcome on their behalf.
Admitted to practice in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Tom is an active member of the Florida Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, Florida Justice Association, and American Association for Justice. He has earned an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer-review rating awarded by the organization. For the last 10 years, Tom has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization recognizing trial lawyers who have achieved settlements or verdicts of at least $1 million.
Tom earned his law degree from Barry University School of Law in 2001. He received his Bachelor of Science from Oneonta State University, where he also played NCAA Division III basketball. His background as a collegiate athlete reflects the same qualities he brings to his legal practice: preparation, persistence, teamwork, and a commitment to seeing things through. Tom is married with 2 children.
