Thomas A. "Tom" Ped

Tom Ped is a Member in the Portland office of Williams Kastner, where he focuses his practice on construction and real estate law. He represents a range of construction industry clients—including general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers—assisting them with contract review, payment disputes, and workmanship-related issues. Tom also advises real estate clients on transactional matters such as purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, and other key legal documents.

With more than 25 years of experience, Tom has helped clients resolve disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and, when necessary, litigation in both Oregon and Washington state and federal courts. He takes particular satisfaction in helping clients find practical solutions to complex problems, a hallmark of his client-centered approach.

Recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2021, Tom is also deeply committed to advancing diversity in the legal profession. He serves on the firm’s Diversity Committee and participates in the Oregon State Bar’s Opportunities for Law in Oregon (OLIO) program. In addition, he has contributed to legal education by coaching mock trial teams at Portland’s Roosevelt High School.
