Biography
After years in large-firm settings, Thelma founded Greyston Law Corporation, a boutique employment and litigation firm that combines top-tier legal expertise with the flexibility, responsiveness, and personal connection of a boutique.
Thelma works closely with general counsel, HR teams, owner-managed businesses, and non-profit organizations who value candour, practicality, and partnership. She advises them across a wide range of employment, human rights, privacy and regulatory matters, including recruitment and hiring best practices, employment contracts and independent contractor/consultant agreements, performance management, disability and leave management, workplace safety, immigration, terminations, and litigation and tribunal representation. In addition, Thelma also provides advice on employment and labour issues in mergers and acquisitions, including drafting and negotiating agreements such as purchase agreements, employment contracts, retention agreements, and non-compete agreements. She also offers guidance on integrating employees after the transaction is completed.
Additionally, she regularly assists individual clients with a wide range of workplace concerns, including review of employment or independent contractor agreements, non-solicitation and non-competition agreements, wrongful and constructive dismissals, severance package reviews, as well as issues related to human rights, discrimination, and workplace harassment. She also represents clients in litigation and tribunal matters.
