Tammy represents individuals, closely held businesses, and public and private companies in complex business disputes throughout Las Vegas and Nevada. Her practice includes Bet-the-Company Litigation, Commercial Litigation, business torts, partnership and shareholder disputes, breach of contract matters, corporate governance disputes, eminent domain, legal malpractice defense, class actions, and intellectual property litigation.
Tammy is an accomplished trial lawyer who has taken more than 30 jury trials to verdict and has handled numerous bench trials through decision. She has argued appeals before the Nevada Supreme Court and regularly represents clients in arbitration, mediation, and administrative proceedings. Tammy is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an invitation-only organization that recognizes trial attorneys throughout the United States. She has also been recognized by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Benchmark Litigation, and the Litigation Counsel of America.
Before co-founding Peterson Baker PLLC in Las Vegas, Nevada, Tammy practiced with Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP and Jones Vargas Chtd. She began her legal career as a prosecutor with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, where she served in the Special Victims Unit handling cases involving child abuse, child homicide, and sexual assault. Tammy also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Philip M. Pro of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada from 1994 to 1996.
A native Nevadan, Tammy remains active in the Las Vegas community and is dedicated to supporting organizations that serve children and families. She is a past President of the Junior League of Las Vegas and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Nevada Children’s Medical Center Foundation.
