Suzanne Wood Bruckner is a shareholder at Sutin, Thayer & Browne APC in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she leads the firm’s Tax Law practice. She is also a licensed New Mexico certified public accountant.
Her practice focuses on Tax Law and Public Finance Law, with an emphasis on New Mexico tax matters. She advises businesses and organizations on corporate income tax, gross receipts and compensating tax, property tax, and public finance issues. Her tax practice includes tax planning, audit representation, administrative protests and litigation, refund claims, and guidance on tax credits and incentives. She also consults on federal tax matters that affect business entities and government clients.
In her Public Finance Law practice, Ms. Bruckner advises on taxable and tax-exempt financings for public entities, private organizations, and governmental clients, assisting with structuring and compliance throughout the financing process.
Her general business practice includes entity formation and governance, as well as the preparation and review of commercial contracts.
Prior to joining Sutin, Thayer & Browne APC, Ms. Bruckner practiced as a certified public accountant for 10 years with KPMG LLP. She also served as a captain in the United States Army, with assignments in Korea and Germany, and during Operation Desert Storm.
