Biography
Susan Vanderweert joined the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin in 2015, where she represents injured workers in Workers’ Compensation Law matters. She is Board Certified in Workers’ Compensation Law by the North Carolina State Bar and serves as a Partner with the firm. Susan represents claimants throughout Raleigh and across North Carolina.
Susan earned her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation. She also holds a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she double majored in Political Science and Communication.
Throughout her legal career, Susan has handled matters involving Workers’ Compensation Law, appellate advocacy, and insurance regulatory issues. Her professional background also includes work in journalism, public relations, and the management of nonprofit professional associations and trade groups. This diverse experience informs her approach to representing Workers’ Compensation claimants and advocating for injured workers in Raleigh, North Carolina.
