Stormy Mayfield

Stormy Mayfield is Senior Counsel in the Houston, Texas office of Peckar & Abramson PC. Her practice focuses on Construction Law and Litigation – Construction, as well as related corporate and labor and employment matters. Stormy works closely with clients to understand their business goals and provides practical legal guidance aimed at protecting their interests throughout all phases of a project or dispute.

Throughout her career, Stormy has represented clients nationwide in complex litigation, with a concentration on construction-related disputes and labor and employment issues. Her experience includes assisting clients with contract drafting and negotiation, corporate formation, and governance and compliance matters, helping businesses address potential risks before they develop into litigation. Before joining Peckar & Abramson PC, Stormy represented clients in administrative protests before regional offices of the Small Business Administration, the Small Business Administration’s Office of Hearings and Appeals, the Government Accountability Office, and the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals.

Stormy regularly handles matters involving commercial and residential construction defects, warranty claims, and breach of contract disputes among general contractors, subcontractors, and owners. Her litigation experience also includes breach of fiduciary duty claims, collective action wage and hour matters, employment discrimination, sexual and racial harassment, and wrongful discharge claims.

Stormy earned her B.A. in Psychology from Sewanee: The University of the South and her J.D. from South Texas College of Law. She is a member of the Houston Bar Association and represents clients from the firm’s Houston office in construction law and construction litigation matters.
