Steve Miano is a shareholder in and heads the environmental
law practice group at Hangley, Aronchick, Segal, Pudlin & Schiller in its
Philadelphia, PA office. He has been
practicing environmental law for over 30 years.
His practice includes all facets of environmental law and litigation,
with a significant concentration on issues arising under the Clean Water Act, CERCLA
and equivalent state statutes. Before entering private practice, Steve was an
Assistant Regional Counsel for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region
III. He has served as an adjunct
professor of law at Rutgers Law School and is a frequent author and speaker on
water quality issues. Steve is a former
Chair of the American Bar Association's Section of Environment, Energy, and
Resources. He currently chairs the Section’s WOTUS Working Group, which is
responsible for the WOTUS Web page.
Steve is a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers. He received his BS in Environmental Studies at the George Washington
University and his JD at the University of New Hampshire School of Law.
