Steve Scruton is a Partner at MacGillivray Injury and Insurance Law in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. With more than fourteen years of experience in Insurance Law and Personal Injury Litigation, Steve represents individuals and families navigating complex legal and insurance matters following accidents and injuries.
Steve’s professional background includes experience with one of the largest law firms in Atlantic Canada, as well as opening and managing a legal office for a national insurance company. This broad perspective allows him to understand the legal and insurance process from multiple sides and provide practical guidance tailored to each client’s circumstances.
During law school, Steve received a variety of awards and scholarships recognizing his academic achievements and commitment to the legal profession. He has also remained active in professional organizations, including the Canadian Bar Association, and has spoken at conferences and industry events over the years.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife Amanda, their children Norah and Nathan, and their family goldendoodle, Charlotte.
