Biography
Steve Weber is a Partner in Peckar & Abramson PC’s Washington, District of Columbia office and serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Government Contracts practice. He brings more than 35 years of experience representing domestic and international contractors in construction law matters, including construction litigation and government contracts, in the United States and abroad.
Steve’s practice focuses on representing construction contractors involved in power projects, high-rise developments, and major infrastructure projects. He regularly advises contractors performing work for the United States government, both domestically and internationally. His work includes contract drafting and negotiation, project performance counseling, and the preparation and litigation of claims. Steve has also defended contractors facing allegations under the False Claims Act and related qui tam actions.
In addition, Steve counsels local contractors and developers on private construction projects such as office buildings, condominiums, and mixed-use developments. His clients include a broad range of participants in the construction industry, as well as companies performing under public contracts across multiple sectors.
Steve has significant experience with alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration, as well as trial experience before state and federal courts, arbitration panels, and boards of contract appeals. He frequently assists contractors with responding to cure notices and managing terminations for default or for convenience, providing practical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
