Stephen M. Loftin is a founding member of Hicks Thomas LLP. In his more than 30-year career, he has focused his practice on business and personal injury litigation, both on the plaintiff and defense side of the bar. Mr. Loftin has represented clients in multiple industries, including oil and gas, product manufacturing, and securities and investments. He has considerable experience working in cases that involve breach of fiduciary duties, breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, toxic tort claims, matters involving insurance coverage, and personal injury claims.
Mr. Loftin has long been a member of the “Texas Super Lawyers” listing, as published in Texas Monthly Magazine. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and a life fellow of both the Texas Bar Foundation and the Houston Bar Foundation. Mr. Loftin is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts, the Federal District Courts for the Southern, Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, along with the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeals. He is also admitted to practice in Oklahoma state courts.
