Stephen Carl is a trial and appellate attorney whose practice focuses on family law and civil litigation throughout Texas. He represents clients in divorce, child custody, property division, enforcement actions, and appeals, with experience ranging from emergency hearings to jury trials and appellate advocacy.
Stephen graduated cum laude from Baylor Law School with a special distinction in Family Law and served as an editor of the Baylor Law Review. Since entering private practice, he has built a reputation for thorough preparation, strategic thinking, and effective courtroom advocacy. He has successfully represented clients in jury trials, numerous contested hearings, and dozens of appeals before Texas appellate courts.
In addition to his legal practice, Stephen serves on the Board of Trustees for Midway Independent School District. His work in public education has sparked a growing interest in education law, an area he plans to continue developing alongside his litigation practice.
Before becoming an attorney, Stephen served for eight years as a MEDEVAC helicopter pilot and platoon leader in the United States Army. The leadership and decision-making skills developed during that time continue to inform his approach to complex litigation.
