Stephanie Daniels is a Partner in the Tax and Private Wealth Group at Farris LLP in Vancouver, British Columbia. Since her call to the bar in 2004, she has practised in the areas of Tax Law, Trusts and Estates, wealth management, and estate planning. Stephanie advises individuals, families, business owners, and private wealth clients on tax-efficient estate plans and corporate structures, including wills, estate freezes, trusts, and corporate reorganizations.
Stephanie also advises charitable and not-for-profit organizations on taxation matters and regularly works with accountants, financial advisors, litigators, and family law counsel to develop coordinated planning strategies. Her practice includes cross-border planning matters involving Canadian and international considerations.
In her Trusts and Estates practice, Stephanie assists clients with succession planning, family wealth transfers, and the administration and preservation of private wealth. Her work focuses on practical and tax-conscious solutions tailored to each client’s personal, family, and business objectives.
Stephanie is a frequent presenter and author on Tax Law, estate planning, and private wealth matters. She is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, and the Canadian Bar Association’s Tax, Wills & Trusts Section, where she previously served as Chair, as well as the Charities & Not-For-Profits Section. She is also a past director of the Association of Women in Finance.
Stephanie has completed Parts I and II of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada In-Depth Tax Course and the Minerva Foundation of British Columbia’s Women Leading the Way program. She has been recognized by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Canada in the areas of Tax Law and Trusts & Estates.
