Stéphanie Guedes da Costa

Stéphanie Guedes da Costa focuses particularly on relations with employee representative bodies, professional elections, collective bargaining, as well as restructuring operations (including employee transfers, voluntary departure plans, and employment protection plans).

She advises both French and international companies, providing support in both advisory and litigation matters (covering individual and collective issues).

For many years, she has also assisted entities with mixed-status workforces (private/public) and has extensive experience working with educational institutions that hold special legal status (such as public higher education and research institutions, higher education institutions run by chambers of commerce, and public administrative establishments of higher education).

She has also supported entities through changes in their legal status, as well as in various legal disputes concerning the reclassification of public agents as private-sector employees.

She regularly publishes articles and leads conferences and practical workshops on various areas of employment law, with a particular focus on collective bargaining and labor relations, restructuring operations (conferences on employee transfers and employment protection plans), and employee representation (including articles on local staff representatives in Bulletin Joly, on the Social and Economic Committee in Semaine Sociale Lamy, and on the Economic and Social Database (BDES) in Liaisons Sociales Quotidien). She also teaches electoral litigation at Paris XIII University.

A graduate of Sciences Po (IEP) and holder of a Master’s degree in Labor Law (Magistère, Paris X), Stéphanie Guedes da Costa was admitted to the Bar in February 1997. Before joining Flichy Grangé Avocats in 2012, she spent eight years at the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as Counsel, after starting her career in 1996 at the labor law firm Bélier & Associés.
