Steph has been a member of Holman Webb’s Insurance team since 2016. Steph manages a varied practice which includes public liability, products liability, policy interpretation and professional indemnity matters.

Steph provides clear and pragmatic advice to clients on the relevant issues and potential solutions to each claim. She also works with and assists other members of the team in a variety of litigated and non-litigated personal injury, property damage and professional indemnity matters.

Through various secondments with major insurers, Steph has gained invaluable insight into the commercial drivers and issues facing insurers and stakeholders. These matters are always at the heart of Steph’s advice and recommended strategy for the conduct and resolution of claims.

Relevant Experience

• Acts for insurers in the defence of public and products liability claims in a variety of jurisdictions including the Local, District and Supreme Courts of NSW. Steph has also successfully pursued recovery actions on behalf of insurers, including uninsured loss for insureds.
• Provides D&O coverage advice to insurers – including indemnity advices, ongoing management, defence and investigation of claims. Steph has assisted insurers with notification and management of claims arising out of royal commissions and a number of regulatory investigations and prosecutions.
• Represents insurers in various dispute resolution forums including Mediations and informal settlement conferences.
• Appears on behalf of insurers at directions hearings and other interlocutory matters. Steph has also kept watching briefs at Coronial Inquests.
