Stanley Glenn Abrams

Stan Abrams joined the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin in 2012 and serves as a Partner, focusing his practice on Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law. Based in Durham, North Carolina, Stan represents property owners whose land or property rights are affected by government takings, working to ensure that their interests are fully and fairly presented.

Before joining the firm, Stan served as an Assistant Attorney General with the North Carolina Department of Justice. In that role, he represented the North Carolina Department of Transportation in condemnation litigation across the state. This experience provided him with an in-depth understanding of how eminent domain cases are evaluated and litigated from the government’s perspective.

Stan has argued cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. He has also tried dozens of jury trials throughout North Carolina, handling matters involving property valuation, just compensation, and related condemnation issues.

Stan is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the North Carolina Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. He has also served as a trial advocacy instructor for the North Carolina Department of Justice, sharing practical litigation insight with other attorneys.
