Stanberry Foster Jr. serves as Of Counsel in the Seattle office of Williams Kastner, where he guides clients through the development and implementation of personalized wealth and legacy plans. His practice spans a wide range of asset sizes—from under $100,000 to estates exceeding $50 million—and focuses on strategies to manage, control, and protect those assets across generations.
Stan’s legal work includes estate planning tools such as wills, trusts, and community property agreements, as well as domestic partnership arrangements. He is well-versed in guardianships, elder law, gift planning, taxation, and the administration of estates and trusts—whether through probate or probate avoidance strategies. His services also include resolving disputes related to inheritances, trust administration, and family business succession. In addition, Stan is a trained mediator who assists clients in resolving trust and estate conflicts efficiently and constructively.
Over the years, Stan has earned widespread professional recognition. He has been consistently named to The Best Lawyers in America® for his work in Trusts and Estates since 2001. He has also been honored by Super Lawyers and featured by Seattle Met magazine as a “Top Lawyer” in Estate Planning. This designation reflects his “AV Preeminent” peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest distinction awarded in legal peer reviews in King County.
