He has a proven track record of providing practical, strategic advice and counsel to stakeholders on a variety of corporate and transactional matters in the emerging companies and venture capital ecosystem.
Spencer advises clients on a range of complex transactions, including corporate governance, equity financings, and mergers and acquisitions, and works with startups and established companies alike to guide them through every stage of growth.
Before joining Grellas Shah, Spencer practiced at Fortis Law Partners, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, and Sherman & Howard LLC, where he represented clients across industries such as technology, financial services, manufacturing, and entertainment. His experience includes counseling companies on M&A transactions, data privacy and security compliance, and intellectual property matters, as well as serving as lead counsel on multimillion-dollar acquisitions.
Spencer earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School, where he won the Federal Communications Bar Association Moot Court National Championship, and his B.S., summa cum laude, from Tufts University.
