Sonia graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, where she was an active member of the law school community. She co-ran the student peer mentorship program and volunteered for Advocates for Injured Workers, the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly, and Pro Bono Ontario.
