Shoshana Green is a partner at Green and Spiegel LLP in Toronto. Shoshana has been practising immigration law for 20 years, and has extensive experience in all areas of Canadian immigration. Shoshana is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Citizenship and Immigration Law.
Since her call to the Bar, Shoshana has been practicing exclusively in the field of immigration, citizenship and refugee law, handling all types of matters including assisting employers and individuals with hiring foreign workers as well as applying for and maintaining permanent residence. She also assists individuals and families with all types of sponsorship applications to help bring close relatives to Canada.
Shoshana regularly appears before the Immigration and Refugee Board and the Federal Court of Canada representing clients for any immigration related matters including admissibility hearings, sponsorship appeals, removal appeals and applications for judicial review as well as other types of enforcement matters.
Shoshana has been an active member of the Ontario Bar Association having previously held different positions on the Citizenship and Immigration Executive. At this time Shoshana would like to hold the Public Affairs Liaison position to assist the section with improving its relationship with different government departments. Currently the world of immigration law is extremely volatile and it is imperative that the relationship with the government departments handling immigration matters be held accountable to the public. Shoshana’s past experience with all types of immigration matters will ensure a successful relationship with the different departments. In addition, she will be able to contribute to the Executive’s success in being able to represent the Bar in immigration matters.
