Biography

Shira Kalfa founded Kalfa Law Firm in 2018, serving as its principal lawyer with a focus on corporate-commercial and private M&A law. The firm manages over 50 business transactions annually across industries like construction, hospitality, education, manufacturing, health care, fitness, retail, wholesale, and real estate with an enterprise value of between $1 million and $30 million. With a background in tax law, she advises on tax planning to minimize obligations, especially in sales or purchases, and specializes in tax-driven reorganizations under sections like 85, 86, purifications, and butterflies. Educationally, Shira graduated Summa Cum Laude from York University in 2012 and from Western Law in 2015 with a business law specialization. She gained experience at a large central Ontario firm before launching her practice.
