Shauna practices administrative law in the areas of professional and regulatory compliance, municipal taxation and assessment, environment, and municipal law. She also practices in the area of bankruptcy and insolvency law.

Shauna regularly acts for regulatory bodies, private entities, non-profit entities and public bodies. Her clients benefit from her 20 years of diverse experience.

This depth of experience is complemented by a thorough and practical approach. Shauna works to understand the nuances of her clients’ businesses and the issues they face. This allows her to assist her clients in achieving successful results whether in the course of their normal business or in the context of dispute resolution. This approach also positions Shauna to be a compelling and effective advocate in the course of litigation. She has successfully represented clients at all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada.

She is also Qualified Arbitrator. In this role, her experience in administrative law and decision-making is invaluable.

Shauna articled at a national firm in Calgary and then practiced environmental law at a major mergers and acquisitions firm in Toronto. She then returned to Edmonton in 2003 to work at the Alberta Court of Appeal before working and then becoming a partner at an international firm between 2004 and 2014. Shauna joined RMRF in 2014.

Shauna sits on the board of Cycling Canada, a National Sport Organization that exists to encourage and develop cycling in Canada, including the pursuit of world class results in cycling by leading high performance programs and enabling the development of athletes.
