I am the President and a Partner at Simmons and Fletcher, P.C., a Houston, Texas personal injury law firm founded in 1979 by my late uncle, Robert S. Simmons.
I joined the firm in 1986 as a law clerk while attending college and have practiced with the firm continuously since being admitted to the Texas Bar in 1991. In 2020, I acquired the firm alongside my partners, Christopher K. Fletcher and Paul H. Cannon, and I currently serve as President.
I oversee the firm’s pre-litigation department and represent individuals and families in a wide range of personal injury matters, including car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, premises liability claims, slip and fall incidents, dog bites, traumatic brain and head injuries, burn injuries, construction accidents, defective product claims, and wrongful death cases. My practice serves clients in Houston, Katy, Cypress, Memorial, Sugar Land, and communities across Texas.
My recognized practice areas include Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs. Thomson Reuters included me on the Super Lawyers list from 2023 through 2026. I was also included in the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Additional professional recognition includes honors from Living Magazine in 2021, Lawyers’ Monthly in 2022, Lawyers of Distinction in 2022, and H Texas Magazine from 2013 through 2019.
I earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in 1991 and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 1988, graduating with Honors and Distinction.
Outside the office, I serve as a Deacon at Willow Meadows Baptist Church and have participated in the church’s Children’s Ministry since 2000. I am also a member of the Christian Trial Lawyers Association and the Texas Aggie Bar Association.
In addition, I have served as a Girl Scout leader for 15 years and am available for media commentary related to Texas personal injury law, insurance negotiations, premises liability matters, and legal issues affecting women and families after an injury.
