Shane B. Vogt is a Tampa, Florida, lawyer and the founder and principal of Vogt Law, a boutique litigation firm. His practice includes commercial litigation, First Amendment litigation, defamation, privacy rights, and disputes involving emerging technology and intellectual property.

With more than two decades of courtroom experience, Mr. Vogt represents clients in complex business disputes, defamation and privacy matters, First Amendment claims, and litigation involving digital content and emerging technologies. He served as a member of the trial team representing Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, in his privacy lawsuit against Gawker Media, which resulted in a $140 million jury verdict. For his work on the case, he received Courtroom View Network’s Florida Plaintiff’s Attorney of the Year award.
Mr. Vogt has also worked with Yale Law School’s Media Freedom & Information Access Clinic on litigation involving artificial intelligence, intellectual property, and unauthorized digital content.

A Tampa native, Mr. Vogt graduated magna cum laude and second in his class from Stetson University College of Law in 1999. While attending Stetson, he served on the Stetson Law Review. Before law school, he attended Eckerd College, where he competed in the NCAA Division II basketball tournament. He was also named Hillsborough County Basketball Player of the Year in 1992.
