Biography
Serj Daniel focuses his practice on handling matters of business litigation, premises liability, product liability, and real property litigation.
Serj has represented clients in large and small organizations and handled a broad spectrum of legal matters, including drafting contracts in the construction and real property disciplines, reviewing insurance policies and preparing coverage opinions, resolving mechanic’s liens disputes, handling landlord-tenant disputes, and litigating product liability claims.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Serj was an associate with a California firm, where he had also served as a summer associate, developing his litigation skills by assisting in trial preparation and serving as second chair. He handled discovery and depositions, and argued various dispositive motions.
While attending law school, he was a legal extern in three capacities – with a Los Angeles firm preparing conditional use permits for businesses and drafting proposed findings for development permits and a vesting tract map for a condominium project; with the Office of the California Attorney General in the Land Law Division researching compliance matters regarding real property related statutory violations; as well as for the Honorable Benny Osorio and the Honorable Graciela Freixes, California Superior Court Judges.
When he not advocating for his clients, Serj enjoys cycling, hiking, snorkeling, fishing, and SCUBA diving, as well as taking on DIY home-improvement projects.
