Sean Sells is an experienced labour and employment lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office. He advises public and private sector clients on their complex and challenging cases. He has particular expertise relating to the drafting and enforcement of restrictive covenants, fiduciary obligations, complex litigation; Constitutional/Charter claims; employment disputes, labour injunctions and contingency planning and strike management.
Sean has also acted as counsel in employment and concussion-relation litigation in the sports sector.
Sean has represented clients in trials, appeals, arbitrations and tribunal/board hearings. He has appeared as counsel in all levels of court in Ontario (Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court and Court of Appeal), the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Sean provides research and related support to clients and other members of the firm, and he is also responsible for conflict of interest matters within the firm.
