Scott’s practice focuses on business law. With a practice built-up over twenty-five years, he has considerable experience in acquisitions, divestitures, corporate and secured transactions.
He has experience with corporate governance issues, limited partnerships, joint ventures, condominium developments, projects on leasehold property and on Aboriginal lands. He has special interest in project management of complex legal transactions and in advising corporate boards on strategies to reduce risk. In addition to Alberta, Scott is called to the Northwest Territories Bar and extends his practice to Northern clients.
Scott has served the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) as a member of its National Council, as President of the CBA Alberta Branch, and as a member of the CBA’s national board of directors. He is a past Bencher (Director) of the provincial regulator of lawyers, the Law Society of Alberta, and former instructor of law at MacEwan University's School of Business.
