Biography
With 28 years of professional experience, Fishman Haygood partner Scott Chenevert practices primarily in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt investments, joint ventures, energy-as-a-service, and corporate governance.
Scott has represented private and public companies in technology and professional services, energy and oilfield services, and real estate development industries. He also has extensive experience serving as outside general counsel for privately held and family companies.
Scott is the immediate past chair of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge board of directors. He is also a member of, and served as the 2023 chair for, the Southeast Louisiana (SoLA) Super Region Committee. Scott previously served as a member of the board of directors of Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) from 2006-2013, serving as its chairman in 2012.
Scott is ranked Band 1 by Chambers and Partners in Corporate/M&A. He was also recently named to Baton Rouge Business Report’s 2025 Capital Region 500, a list of 500 powerful and influential business and community leaders in Baton Rouge.
