Scott practises in banking and finance recovery, insolvency and corporate restructuring and dispute management and resolution.
He advises financiers on restructuring facilities and workouts, the review and enforcement of securities and loan recovery.
He has acted for numerous receivers, voluntary administrators and liquidators across a diverse range of industries including resources, retail, manufacturing, tourism, property development, vehicle dealerships and accommodation providers. He also acts for trustees in bankruptcy.
Scott regularly presents seminars on insolvency matters and is a Workshop Leader for the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association's Education Program.
Scott is an expert in cross-border insolvency law. He is an INSOL Fellow, having completed INSOL International’s Global Insolvency Practice Course with Honours.
Scott was Chair of the Queensland Law Society Insolvency Committee and a Deputy Chair of the Insolvency and Reconstruction Committee of the Law Council of Australia, Business Law Section from 2012 to 2015.
