Sarah D. Monty-Arnoni is a partner at Monty & Ramirez LLP and leads the firm’s Immigration Law practice group in Houston, Texas. She is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Sarah advises employers, investors, families, and businesses on a broad range of immigration matters, including employment-based immigration, nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, lawful permanent residency, citizenship, compliance policies, and workforce-related immigration issues. She works with emerging companies, mid-sized businesses, and large corporations across industries including energy, health care, information technology consulting, oil and gas, financial services, and consumer goods import and export.
Her practice also includes immigration due diligence related to corporate restructures, mergers, and acquisitions. Sarah counsels employers on compliance with federal immigration regulations affecting both U.S. companies and foreign national employees.
Before entering private practice, Sarah worked in education for several years, including serving as a bilingual education teacher for at-risk youth in El Paso, Texas. She also taught English as a Foreign Language in Spain from 1985 through 1992 and later taught at El Paso Community College from 1992 through 1995.
In addition to her legal practice, Sarah has served as a law instructor at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, San Jacinto Community College, and the University of Houston Small Business Development Center. In May 2013, she was appointed to the Texas Southern University Board of Regents.
