Sandy primarily practices in insurance defense and general commercial litigation. She has worked on hundreds of construction litigation cases, including commercial, residential and multi-party disputes. The bulk of her practice is focused on defending design professionals such as architects and engineers of all disciplines (i.e. mechanical, geotechnical, structural and civil) in construction cases.In addition to representing the interests of these professions, Sandy also handles complaints before state licensing boards for architects and engineers as well as other licensed professionals. She provides litigation defense for corporate clients in other matters including employment, minor personal injuries and contract disputes. In her employment practice, she works with corporate and nonprofit clients to ensure understanding of and compliance with state and federal regulations, and she is involved in establishing good company policies and preparation of employee handbooks which help avoid misunderstandings and litigation. Sandy also works with clients defending EEOC, DOL and other legal action related to employment. Sandy is experienced as both a plaintiff and defense attorney.
