Biography
Sam Sadeghi represents employers in complex employment litigation and strategically advises employers in navigating California’s employment laws. Sam’s litigation and trial experience includes handling wage and hour class actions, representative actions under California’s Private Attorneys General Act, single-plaintiff lawsuits, private arbitration, government agency actions, and pre-litigation disputes. Sam focuses his practice on issues related to wage and hour laws, discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and trade secrets. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Sam practiced in the Orange County office of another international law firm, where he represented clients in employment, business, and securities litigation.
While in law school, Sam served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Alex Kozinski of the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Sam also served as a legal research assistant for the Honorable Michael W. McConnell at the Stanford University Hoover Institution.
Sam received his Juris Doctor degree from the UCLA School of Law, having served as Managing Editor of the UCLA Law Review and as a legal writing advisor to first-year law students. Sam received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Political Science from Texas Christian University, having graduated summa cum laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Sam is admitted to practice before all state courts in California, the US Courts of Appeals for the Third and Ninth Circuits, and the US District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California.
