Samuel Ljubicic practices M&A, banking and finance, capital markets and real estate law. He regularly advises clients on national and cross-border M&A and finance transactions, debt securities and equity investments as well as transfers of credit risks. Furthermore, he has significant experience in real estate transactions and property development. Samuel Ljubicic regularly advises banks with regard to new business initiatives with exposures to new jurisdictions and new finance products. Recent cross-border transactions include issuance of credit linked notes, securitizations, total return swaps and numerous complex asset backed financing structures, secured by various asset classes, such as fund interests, unfunded commitments, private shares subject to American depository share programs and securities listed in Latin America and the Gulf region. Furthermore, he advises clients on Islamic finance transactions. He serves as board member and corporate secretary of Swiss corporations. He is also a member of the “Young SECA”, a working group of SECA (Swiss Private Equity & Corporate Finance Association) which has, inter alia, the mission to organize networking events to build up a network for interesting start-ups, which are looking for financing. Samuel Ljubicic joined MLL in 2010 and has been a partner of the firm’s corporate and finance department since 2017. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Lucerne and an LL.M. in international financial law from King’s College London.
