Ross Macdonald maintains a broad litigation practice with a focus on Corporate and Commercial Litigation, family law, estate litigation, and civil disputes. Based in Toronto, Ontario, Ross represents individuals, businesses, and organizations in matters involving contract disputes, shareholder and business conflicts, divorce, custody and access issues, estate disputes, and other complex litigation matters.
Ross has acted on both large-scale, multi-party litigation matters and more streamlined disputes requiring practical and cost-effective resolutions. He approaches each matter with a focus on understanding his clients’ objectives and identifying strategies that align with their legal and business interests. In addition to courtroom advocacy, Ross regularly assists clients with negotiation and dispute resolution efforts aimed at resolving matters efficiently whenever possible.
His background in Corporate and Commercial Litigation is particularly valuable in family law matters involving closely held businesses, corporate assets, financial disputes, and complex commercial arrangements. Ross’ experience analyzing business structures and financial issues allows him to effectively address matters that intersect with both commercial and family law concerns.
Ross has more than 30 years of experience appearing before courts and tribunals throughout Ontario. His litigation experience includes professional negligence claims, mortgage enforcement proceedings, white collar prosecutions, estate disputes, and provincial quasi-criminal matters.
