Ronald R. Robinson is a founder and the executive partner of Berkes Crane Robinson & Seal LLP. He has over 25 years experience as a trial and appellate attorney specializing in complex, multi-party and insurance coverage disputes. His national coverage and underwriting practice includes: casualty insurance and reinsurance, E&O insurance, and D&O insuance advice, litigation, appeals and ADRs; with an emphasis on bad faith, asbestos, toxic tort, environmental and entertainment-related insurance coverage disputes. Ron is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel and of the Defense Research Institute ("DRI"). He previously served on DRI's Law Institute Committee, as Chair of its Insurance Law and its Excess & Reinsurance Committees, and as co-founding Editor of "Covered Events," DRI's national coverage newsletter. He also served as Chair of DRI's Subcommittee on the Terrorism Risk Insurance Acts of 2005 and 2007 for which he was awarded DRI's National Community Service Award.Ron speaks and presents papers at conferences throughout the United States and abroad for the American Law Institute of the American Bar Association, American Conference Institute, Defense Research Institute, Emerging and Environmental Claims Managers Association, Executive Enterprises, Midwest Environmental Claims Association, Practicing Law Institute, Reinsurance Association of America and the World Jurist Association. Ron previously served in the Office of the Los Angeles City Attorney as: head of its Task Force on Organized Crime, Sound Piracy and Terrorism Risk; Chief of Branch Trial Operations, Criminal Division; and Risk Management Program Counsel, and Terrorism Task Force Program Counsel, Department of Airports, City of Los Angeles.
