Biography
Roger is a Partner at Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP and Co-Chair of the Corporate Commercial Group, which he has helped build during his two decades with the firm. He specializes in reorganizations, acquisitions, shareholder agreements, succession planning, commercial lending and borrowing, and commercial leases. A member of the bar in both British Columbia and Ontario, he offers extensive experience in negotiating and drafting documents relating to asset purchase agreements; franchise deals; software, publishing and licensing agreements and construction contracts.
Roger Holland has a long track record of helping startups flourish and assisting larger companies enhance their value through mergers or acquisitions. He is known for his dedicated focus on clients’ needs and his proactive approach in delivering the information they require.
Outside of the firm, Roger spends his time with his wife and twins, volunteering on four not-for-profit boards, performing hits from the 1990s with his rock band, and staying fit on his bike and at the gym.

- Acts on behalf of purchasers and sellers in complex mergers and acquisitions, including:
- The sale of a $70-million business;
- The sale of a $6-million financial services business;
- The purchase of a $6-million construction services business;
- The sale of a $4-million architectural firm;
- The sale of a Canadian engineering company to a U.S. purchaser;
- The sale of a marine services business.
- Assists clients by drafting, negotiating and advising on a variety of commercial agreements, including complex shareholders’ agreements, which in one instance included a company with more than 125 shareholders
- Set up a franchise system for an automobile rental agency
- Negotiated and drafted a design service agreement for the construction of a $100-million sports facility
