Biography
PROFESIONAL EXPERIENCE
Between june 2008 and march 2020, he was Head of Tax & Legal at BDO in Chile.
Between 1999 and 2004, he served as attorney for the Department for the application and interpretation of International Tax Rules at the Chilean Internal Revenue Service (SII) and negotiator of agreements to avoid double taxation. In those years, the main agreements were negotiated and have been enacted in recent years.
He was a representative of Chile of O.E.C.D. (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) for the Global Forum on Taxation in Paris, France and in Mexico City, Mexico. Consultant to the IDB (Inter-American Development Bank) for Nicaragua and the Tax Administration of Peru (SUNAT).
Professor at the “Universidad de Santiago (USACH)” and the "LLM UC, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC)" of International Tax Planning at the Master Programs.
He has been an ad-honorem Counselor of the Chilean Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from 2008 to 2014.
