Biography
Senior partner in one of the premier matrimonial firms in New York City, known as a consummate professional: litigator,negotiater, settler and someone who is both a thinker and thoughtful, caring and compassionate. he leads a group of attorneys who practice in that tradition. He is a teacher, lecturer and writer and for decades his articles and lectures have been well received by bench, bar and numerous specialty groups including accountants, mental health professionals and students of all kinds. He graduated from Columbia College and New York University School of Law. After practicing criminal defense law through the 70's he turned to matrimonial and family law, in which he has specialized since the late 70's. He is a leader of the Bar, being a member of various associations, including the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. In all of these associations he has held office and/or done committee work in the area of family law. He has been included in Best Lawyers in America for over 20 years, holds the highest rating in Martindale Hubbell, has consistenly been named as a Superlawyer, and has been mentioned as one of the Best Lawyers in New York by New York Magazine in every one of its issues.
