Biography

Robert Brabbit brings more than two decades of experience representing individuals in complex personal injury matters. Since joining SiebenCareyin 2017, he has continued a long-standing career advocating for plaintiffs in civil litigation, with a focus on workers' compensation, motor vehicle accidents, product liability, and wrongful death claims. His work also extends to asbestos-related cases, including those involving mesothelioma, asbestosis, and lung cancer.

Before joining the firm, Robert was a founding partner of the Minneapolis-based firm Brabbit & Salita, P.A., where he built a reputation as a skilled trial attorney. His peers have consistently recognized his work, including an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and repeated selection to Super Lawyers—an honor awarded to a small percentage of attorneys in Minnesota—every year since 1996.

Robert has been actively involved in the legal community throughout his career. He previously co-chaired the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Hennepin County Bar Association and is a member of several professional organizations, including the Minnesota Association for Justice, Minnesota State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and American Association for Justice. He frequently contributes to continuing legal education programs focused on workers’ compensation litigation.

In addition to his practice, Robert has shared his knowledge in the classroom as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where he taught Trial Advocacy and Advanced Trial Advocacy. He has also contributed to the Minnesota State District Court Civil Practice Deskbook, a widely used resource among attorneys and judges across the state.

Robert is licensed to practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin, as well as in the United States District Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and his Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. During law school, he served as Executive Editor of the William Mitchell Law Review.
