Mr. Binkley joined Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell PLC in 1986 after earning his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Based in Jackson, Tennessee, he has spent more than thirty-eight years representing employers and individuals in a wide range of employment-related, workers’ compensation, insurance, and tort matters.
Mr. Binkley regularly advises and represents private and public employers in investigations, administrative proceedings, and litigation involving federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Tennessee Human Rights Act (THRA), and related statutes and regulations. His practice also includes substantial involvement in workers’ compensation and personal injury litigation.
In addition to his litigation and counseling work, Mr. Binkley frequently speaks to business and professional groups on employment law and labor law issues affecting management. He is a member of the firm’s Labor, Employment, and Governmental Law Practice Group and the Tort and Insurance Practice Group, and he served as the firm’s personnel partner from 2012 through 2019.
