Robert J. Cooney, Jr. is a Chicago, Illinois trial lawyer with Cooney & Conway LLP. He earned his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in 1978 and his B.A. from Boston College in 1974.
Before joining Cooney & Conway LLP in 1983, Mr. Cooney tried criminal cases as a member of the Homicide Task Force in the Cook County Public Defender’s Office. His practice includes personal injury, wrongful death, mass tort litigation, and plaintiff class actions. He has handled cases involving significant injuries and loss, including matters resulting in million-dollar-plus settlements and verdicts.
