Robert E. Boyce is an AV rated attorney who has practiced criminal law in San Diego for over thirty years. He has represented clients in over 150 jury trials, including death penalty and murder cases. He is listed in the Best Lawyers in America, and is certified by the State Bar of California as a Criminal Law Specialist.
Mr. Boyce has tried numerous state and federal felony jury trials to verdict. He has obtained acquittals after jury trial for clients charged with serious felony offenses, including murder, rape and child molestation. He has represented individuals accused of crimes in a number of high profile cases in San Diego and Riverside counties.
Mr. Boyce frequently lectures about criminal justice issues to bar associations and other groups of lawyers. He is a past president of the Criminal Defense Bar Association of San Diego, and has been elected to hold offices in several other criminal defense organizations, including the Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Club and California Attorneys for Criminal Justice. Mr. Boyce has been an adjunct professor of law at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Mr. Boyce was awarded the 2011 E. Stanley Conant award by the defenders’ organizations of San Diego, recognizing him as a defense attorney dedicated to protecting the rights of the accused.
