Bob Girouxis the founding partner of Giroux Pappas and a personal injury attorney in Michigan with more than 30 years of trial experience. His career has been defined by meticulous preparation, courtroom credibility, and a deep commitment to representing individuals and families with the attention and respect they deserve.

What made you want to become a lawyer?

It goes all the way back to career day when I was in elementary school. One of the parents came in to talk to the class and he was a lawyer. I remember him talking about the how laws are like rules that make things fair for everyone.

That idea really stayed with me. Fighting for fairness and standing up for someone seeking justice became a foundation for why I chose to be a lawyer. Watch the complete interview.

After more than 30 years of practicing law, what still motivates you?

The opportunity to help people when something has happened that has and will dramatically change their lives. Our clients come to us when they've been injured or have lost someone they love, and they need someone who will take the time to listen and to help them understand what happened and truly fight for them. It's a responsiblity that I don't take lightly.

When you first meet a client, what is the most important thing?

Listening and taking in what has really happened to them. Hearing their story. You need to learn about their case, and even more importantly is how their injury has effected their lives. Every client and every situation is different and you can't effectively represent them without understanding this.

You've tried over 100 different cases in front of a jury. How does trial experience affect the way you handle a case?

Well it affects everything we do as we build our case. This is one of the most important things we do - prepare every case as if it will go to trial. This level of preparedness, helps us understand the strengths and weaknesses of our case which is critical to your legal strategy. Whether a case ultimately settles or goes to trial this preparation gives us an advantage.

What does "trial ready" really mean?

it means you don't wait until the trial date is approaching to start preparing a case for trial. From the beginning, we are gathering evidence, understanding the medicine or technical issues, working with experts and examining the details. The goal is to put the client in the strongest possible position, whether that leads to settlement or trial.

What do you want clients to know about working with you and your team?

That we understand the trust they put in us when they select their attorney. We might be their one shot at justice and compensation for their injuries. When someone hires us they are most likely dealing with the hardest thing in their lives. They deserve honesty about their case, communication throughout the process and a legal team that is experienced and prepared to do the work necessary to persue justice for them.

Bob Giroux handles complex cases involving

Bob’s career spans both sides of the courtroom. He began on the plaintiff side before spending seven years as a defense attorney, where he earned the title of Senior Litigation Attorney. He then spent 14 years representing plaintiffs as Managing Partner at one of Michigan’s most recognized personal injury firms.

This dual perspective gives him a clear understanding of how opposing counsel thinks, prepares, and strategizes.

He founded Giroux Pappas to practice law differently. The firm focuses on fewer cases with deeper involvement, ensuring clients have direct access to attorneys at all times. Bob believes that serious cases deserve serious attention, not a place in a queue.
