Rob McAngus

Rob McAngus is a family law attorney in Dallas, Texas, and a member of Mueller Family Law. He has been recognized by peer-reviewed Best Lawyers® since 2021 and is board certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

For more than a decade, Rob has dedicated his practice exclusively to family law, representing clients in complex and high-conflict divorce matters, high-asset property division, child custody and parental rights disputes, marital agreements, and special education law. His work often involves legally and emotionally challenging circumstances that require careful planning and thoughtful advocacy.

Rob’s experience includes extensive courtroom involvement as well as leadership within the family law community. He serves on advisory boards for the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the Texas Family Law Foundation, chairs the Foundation’s Legislative Bill Review Committee, and frequently speaks at state and national legal conferences on developments affecting Texas family law.

In addition to his legal background, Rob brings personal perspective to his representation of families. As an adopted child and a member of a blended family, he approaches each case with an understanding of the emotional impact family law matters can have on parents and children, while remaining focused on practical and long-term considerations.

Rob earned his Juris Doctor from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Baylor University, where he graduated cum laude. His professional affiliations include fellowship in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers, membership in the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, and recognition by Texas Super Lawyers and The National Advocates.
