Ms. Brown, a shareholder since 1991, joined the firm after graduating from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1984. For the past 36 years she has had diverse and extensive experience in the areas of commercial litigation, bankruptcy, tort, employment discrimination, product liability, and workers’ compensation. Her work with directors’ and officers’ litigation and bond claims has resulted in a recovery in excess of $12 million through settlement of those claims. She has also represented creditors in a wide variety of collection, foreclosure, receivership, and bankruptcy matters. In addition to her active litigation practice, Ms. Brown counsels small business clients regarding formation, governance and general matters. She also does a large number of business sales and purchases.
Ms. Brown has lived in the Nashville area all her life and now resides in Murfreesboro. She is a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and previously served as Business/Commercial Litigation Practice Group Leader.
