Rafael Bazán

Rafael is a Banking & Finance partner at Araoz & Rueda. Rafael specialises in corporate finance, acquisition finance, asset finance and, since 2008, in the restructuring of companies in crisis. In this last field he has advised both banks and affected companies.He also has extensive experience in inter-European and other cross-border operations and in regulatory issues involving supervisory authorities. Rafael frequently collaborates with lawyers from Mayer Brown's New York, London and Paris offices in asset-based lending and debt restructuring operations.He spent six years working as legal counsel at HSBC Bank plc, Sucursal en España and Citibank España, SA and was Non-director Vice-secretary for Iberpay (Sociedad Española de Sistemas de Pago, SA), the managing entity for the National Electronic Clearing System (SNCE).Rafael advises in a wide range of economic matters, with special focus on the real estate, financial and industrial sectors.
