Rachel Sigmund McGinley, a Super Lawyers Rising Star, is the Chair of Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C.’s Cooperative & Condominium Representation Group. Rachel McGinley represents condominium and cooperative boards in matters ranging from construction defects and fraud to compliance and day-to-day management, as well as condominium unit owners and cooperative shareholders in various real estate litigation matters and administrative proceedings. Rachel McGinley is also experienced in title insurance litigation and landlord-tenant litigation and has represented landlords and tenants in residential non-payment proceedings, nuisance cases, lease expiration holdovers, non-primary residence proceedings, and tenant buyout negotiations.

Rachel McGinley joined the firm as a member of the Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C. externship and summer associate program during her first year of law school, later graduating to full-time employment. Rachel McGinley earned her B.S., magna cum laude, from Pennsylvania State University’s Schreyer Honors College and her J.D., cum laude, from Rutgers University School of Law.

She has authored several pieces that have appeared in The Cooperator answering sophisticated cooperative and condominium corporate questions, and has co-authored an article about mortgage foreclosures in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis which was published nationwide within the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section magazine, Probate & Property, as well as the Mortgage Bankers Association magazine, Mortgage Banking.

Rachel McGinley is a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York County Lawyers’ Association, and New Jersey State Bar Association. She is also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.Rachel McGinley has been named to the Super Lawyers 2017, 2018, and 2019 New York Metro Rising Stars list in the area of Real Estate: Business. Rachel McGinley is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and New Jersey.
