Rachel Leff Blumberg is a senior associate in the Litigation & Trial Practice Group at Alston & Bird LLP. Rachel defends a variety of health care clients including insurers, health plans, and providers in complex civil litigation, qui tam litigation, and compelled arbitration. She also regularly provides regulatory advice and guidance to health care clients.
Before joining Alston & Bird LLP, Rachel served as a law clerk to the Hon. Beverly B. Martin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Hon. Leigh Martin May of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Rachel is an active member of the Atlanta Bar Association, serving on the Women in the Profession Section’s board. She also maintains an active pro bono practice, regularly representing indigent clients in landlord-tenant disputes as part of the firm’s partnership with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation.
Rachel earned a dual J.D., with honors, and M.P.H. from the Emory University School of Law and Rollins School of Public Health. While in law school, she served as an editor of the Emory Law Journal and received the Alan Rumph Memorial Scholarship for outstanding health law scholarship. Rachel also received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Emory University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
