Biography
Rachel is an Atlanta family law attorney with Snider & Snider PC, focusing her practice on the thoughtful resolution of complex, high-income and large-asset divorce matters. Practicing Family Law in Atlanta, Georgia, Rachel takes a hands-on approach to guiding clients through the legal, personal, and emotional issues that often arise during divorce and other family law matters. She works closely with each client to understand their goals and concerns and develops a strategy tailored to their individual circumstances.
Rachel regularly coordinates a team of qualified professionals based on the needs of each case, which may include forensic accountants, tax professionals, private investigators, mental health professionals, estate planners, financial planners, educational consultants, real estate professionals, appraisers, and other resources as needed. Her goal is to manage the many moving parts of a family law case so clients can remain focused on their personal and professional lives while navigating the legal process.
With more than 33 years of trial experience, Rachel has extensive courtroom knowledge in Georgia Family Law matters. Georgia is one of only two states that currently allow jury trials in divorce cases, and Rachel is prepared to represent clients in jury trials, bench trials before a judge, whether in person or via Zoom, as well as through mediation, arbitration, and late case evaluation. She is a trained mediator and serves as a late case evaluator for the Fulton County Superior Court Judges through the American Academy of Family Law Lawyers. Rachel is also one of the few Fellows of the American Academy of Family Law Lawyers in Georgia.
Rachel is committed to providing clients with clear information and practical resources to help them evaluate financial and personal considerations throughout their case. When children are involved, she remains focused on addressing their needs and interests while working toward resolutions that support the family’s future. In addition to representing clients, Rachel serves as a court-appointed late case evaluator in Fulton County, assisting non-client litigants as a potential final step before trial.
Rachel began her legal career practicing in creditors’ rights and commercial litigation. Over time, she discovered that working directly with individuals and families, and addressing the personal impact of legal issues, was where she found the most fulfillment. After more than three decades practicing Family Law, Rachel remains dedicated to advocating for her clients and helping them prepare for the next chapter of their lives.
Born in New Orleans, Rachel spent her formative years in Manila, Philippines, and Vestavia Hills, Alabama. She has lived in Atlanta since 1979 and considers it home. Her sons attended Christ the King, St. Pius, and Marist before going on to The University of Alabama and the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. Her personal experiences and family life inform her professional perspective and help her connect with clients.
Rachel lives in Ansley Park with her husband, Gary. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling to Europe, playing golf, pickleball, and mahjong, and cheering on her alma mater, the Crimson Tide. Her son Riley is also an attorney and a partner with Morgan & Morgan in Atlanta, where he practices trucking litigation. Rachel and Gary enjoy spending time with their growing family, including children and grandchildren.
