Biography
Mr. Witcher has practiced in the areas of labor and employment law since 1996. Lance concentrates his practice primarily in litigation of employment-related disputes, human resources counseling and matters before the Occupational and Mine Safety Health Review Commissions. He has represented employers in a wide range of litigation matters in both state and federal court, and before arbitrators, administrative law judges and other tribunals in disputes involving alleged discrimination based on race, sex, age, religion, disability, and national as well as sexual and racial harassment, retaliation (including workers’ compensation and whistleblower retaliation), claims under the FLSA, FMLA and USERRA, employment contract disputes (e.g., noncompetition agreements) and other employment related claims. Mr. Witcher has argued before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Missouri Court of Appeals, and has obtained favorable results for numerous employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Missouri Commission on Human Rights, other state and local Fair Employment Practice agencies, the U.S. Department of Labor, and the National Labor Relations Board.
